Sixty days from first enquiry to delivered spindle
A German machine-tool testing company needed a hydrostatic spindle with a built-in motor. We took the enquiry, specified the model, and delivered in 60 days — well inside the lead time they had planned around.
Why the lead time mattered
Hydrostatic spindles with a built-in motor are a low-volume product. Ordered from a European manufacturer they are typically quoted on a long lead time, because they are built to order and the queue is shared with larger machine programmes. The customer had planned their schedule around that expectation.
What we did
Rather than quote from a catalogue, we worked from the application: the bearing arrangement, the drive configuration and the mounting the spindle had to fit. Because we work directly with the plant that builds these spindles, the specification and the production slot were settled in the same conversation instead of passing through a distributor.
Outcome
Sixty days from first enquiry to delivery, and the spindle went in without rework. The customer has continued to work with us.
The customer is described by sector and country rather than by name. We publish a customer's name only with their written permission.
